Corinne Grant

Best known as a comedian and getting her TV kick start as a regular Good News Week panellist, Corinne has gone on to be one of the most familiar faces on Australian television.

Corinne was an original cast member of Rove's first shows on Channel Nine, before working on Rove Live on the Ten Network. A founding cast member of ABC-TV's The Glass House in 2001, Corinne continues on this show to this day.

However, Corinne's first and greatest love has always been acting. Somewhere along the way, this passion was side-lined as she became one of Australia 's most recognised comedians. Now, she has decided to return to her roots.

Corinne is eagerly looking forward to returning to where it all started (acting).

Through her considerable talent and creativity, viewers often become aware of Corinne's intelligent understanding of refugee issues, which is often reflected in her incisive wit. Corinne is also a passionate defender of the rights of asylum seekers and refugees.  She is an elected member of the National Performers Committee for the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance and is on the board of Melbourne University 's Advisory Board of Researchers for Asylum Seekers.

Corinne has also written, produced and performed in numerous productions.

2006 will see Corinne appear live onstage for the first time in a long time with her solo stand-up show, Faking It at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
